The “We Love You 3000” segment was also organized through the event wherein each of the seven schools aimed to reach 3,000 reactions on their poster on Facebook. For every reaction, the participating schools donated Php 10.00 to the manongs and manangs of their communities. In total, 14,163 likes and hearts were garnered by the end of the segment with a total of Php 141, 630.00.

Then, the University continued to uphold its annual tradition of holding the Paskong Mapúan celebration last December 18 via Facebook Live with various activities, including raffle draws, and performances from Mapúans, as well as OPM bands Up Dharma Down and Lola Amour.

With the University’s Christmas celebration, Mapúa President and CEO Dr. Reynaldo B. Vea expressed his gratitude towards the Mapúan community for the numerous relief operations and donation drives that were led by the Social Orientation and Community Involvement Program (SOCIP) and by student organizations in the University. These include the “Spark of Hope: Mapúa Gift-Giving 2020” for the adopted communities in Intramuros and Pandacan, Manila, and the donation drives for the affected families of the recent typhoons.

In order to remind students of the value of Christmas, Dr. Vea stated that “life might have become uncertain. Our work and regular way of life might have been radically changed, but one thing is certain: we are still blessed as one Mapúa community and with the blessing, we have received no matter how big or small, we continue to be a blessing to others.”

Along with Dr. Vea’s message to the Mapúan community, the University’s official Christmas ID entitled “Pagbangon Ngayong Pasko," in cooperation with the Film Arts and Media Enthusiasts and special participation of several student organizations was also shared to the public.
