The Coalition of Schools for Good Governance (CSGG), which is composed of the different student councils from Mapúa University, Affordable Private Education Center (APEC) Schools, National Teachers College, and the University of Nueva Caceres, will hold a film-viewing event for “The Kingmaker” on April 25, 2022, from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM, via Zoom.

With Lauren Greenfield’s “The Kingmaker”, a documentary film on the controversial history of the family of late President Ferdinand Marcos, Sr., the CSGG aims to emphasize the importance of the country’s pressing issues.

“As an institution that is highly regarded for its research, it is our duty to impart knowledge to the people about the history of our country,” Mapúa Central Student Council President Niña C. Cagalawan stated.

To fight the spread of misinformation and disinformation in the country, especially as election day approaches, the student leaders seek to “amplify the voice of the youth and be able to back them up with essential information so that the truth may always prevail” through the free event.

After watching the documentary film, attendees can discuss their insights on “The Kingmaker” and other topics related to the film.

The film viewing event is open to all interested participants. Register for the event until April 24, 2022, at 10 PM here: https://bit.ly/3JYNDy9
