MU COMELEC releases official list of candidates for local SCs and election calendar

The Mapúa University – Commission on Elections (COMELEC) released the full list of candidates for local student councils yesterday, September 20, for the A.Y. 2026-2027 School Student Council elections. The campaign period began last September 22 and will continue until September 25, 11:59 PM.

In an announcement today, September 24, the MU COMELEC released the election calendar. The Miting de Avance (MDA) will be held this Friday, September 25. For Intramuros-based councils, the MDA will begin by 8:30 AM until 2:10 PM. Consequently, for Makati-based councils, the MDA will be held at 4:00 PM until 7:35 PM.

The election period will be from September 26 to September 28. Afterwards, the proclamation of elected student leaders will be on September 30.
