As part of its mission to become a global leader, Mapúa University (MU) shares the second spot among Philippine universities with three others, all of which placed in the 601+ bracket of the Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings 2025.

With an overall score of 13.6-28.2, MU has achieved the following scores in five categories: Research Quality (38.7), Industry (21.1), International Outlook (21.3), Research Environment (17.5), and Teaching (15.6).

At the top are Ateneo de Manila University and the University of the Philippines, both of which are in the 501–600 bracket. Meanwhile, MU shares the same bracket with De La Salle University, the University of Santo Tomas, and Mindanao State University–Iligan Institute of Technology. Moreover, 15 Philippine universities were granted reporter status.
